    Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a way of training young people a trade or profession with on-the-job training and often some accompanying classroom study. Most of the training is done while working for an employer who helps the apprentices learn their trade in exchange for their continued labour for an agreed period after they have achieved measurable targets.

Apprenticeships are becoming increasingly popular as a way of transitioning between education and work.

You can find out more about apprenticeships at www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship. If we become aware of local vacancies apprenticeships, we will post them on our Twitter account @wcs_careers.
