    Extra-curricular

At Wath Comprehensive School we offer many opportunities and activities beyond the usual curriculum.  We feel it is important that students engage in extra-curricular activities to boost their confidence and social skills as well as improving their academic development.

There is extensive sporting provision, D of E, VexIQ Robot Club, Ukulele Group, Chess Club, Student Council, the Student Newspaper (The Torch) and many other clubs and groups. We would love to see all of our students take part in at least one or two extra-curricular activities each year they are with us.

Theatre trips, exhibitions, visits to museums, excursions to local sites of interest and a range of international trips also offer further opportunities for students to enrich and extend their learning beyond the classroom.

    School Clubs (Updated October 2017)

Things to remember if you want to join a school club:

    • You must get a permission slip or a note in your planner from the member of staff running the club before you come along.
    • You can bring your packed lunch or buy a sandwich to bring to most clubs, check this beforehand! No hot food though!
    • Don’t be afraid to try something new, if you think you might be interested just give it a go!
    • If you’re attending a club after school, you need to get a permission letter signed by your parent/carer.

    • Le Rendezvous is open from 7:45am until the beginning of school for breakfast.  You can purchase hot and cold breakfast foods and drinks.
